Life and Times of Teresa Perrin

Raised in Elk Grove, California when it was still a fairly small town, Teresa Perrin left for the big city of Los Angeles at 17 to attend the University of Southern California, where she earned a BFA in Filmic Writing, graduating Magna Cum Laude. However, screenwriting could not steal her heart away from the novel. Teresa earned a Master of Arts in Humanities from CSU Dominguez Hills, where her creative project, a novella, was nominated for best project.

In her working life, Teresa began at a monthly news publication for English language learners, where she was a writer, editor, and eventually managing editor. Teresa has worked extensively as a freelance educational writer and editor, with the philosophy that combining education and entertainment creates motivation and successful learning. She has also pursued graphic design and works as a freelance designer and artist.

Teresa has long recognized that her interests will never be narrow. Science, photography, art, literature, philosophy all hold a place in her life. She is interested in pursuing projects that are creative and projects that will improve society. Teresa currently lives in Alameda, California, where she enjoys walking by the San Francisco Bay.
